Using this site
This site is provided to share information about Art in the Garden City's programming: event listings, past-event recaps, and editorial content, and to let visitors register for events, buy tickets and join our mailing list. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and not to submit false information, interfere with the site, or attempt to gain access to any part of it you are not entitled to.
Event registration and attendance
Registering records a place in your name. Where an event has limited capacity, places are allocated in the order they are confirmed, and once they are gone you may be offered a place on a waiting list instead.
Please cancel using the link in your confirmation email if you can no longer attend. It takes a moment and it releases your place to someone else.
Tickets and payment
Ticket prices are shown in Nigerian naira and are the full amount you pay. We absorb the payment processing fee, so nothing is added at checkout.
Payment is taken by Paystack. Your card details are entered on Paystack's systems and never pass through this site.
A ticket admits the number of people stated on it, which is you plus any guests you told us about when registering. On a paid ticket, each person in your party is charged. Your ticket carries a QR code that is scanned once at the door to admit your whole party, so please do not share or duplicate it. We may refuse a ticket that has already been used.
Holding a place while you pay
When you start paying for a ticket, we hold that place for you for a short period, shown on the payment page. If payment is not completed within that time, the place is released and offered to the next person. You are welcome to start again if places remain.
Refunds and cancellation
- Cancel more than 7 days before the event and we will refund you in full.
- Within 7 days of the event we are not able to offer a refund, though you can still release your place so that someone on the waiting list can use it.
- If we cancel or reschedule an event, you receive a full refund, whenever that happens. If you would rather keep your place at the new date, just tell us.
Refunds are returned to the payment method you used. We process them by hand, so please allow a few working days. To request one, email info@artinthegardencity.com with your ticket reference.
Waiting lists
If a place frees up, we email the next eligible person a link to claim it. That link is valid for a limited period, stated in the email, after which the place passes to the next person on the list.
Admission
Some venues require photo identification, and venue rules apply while you are on their premises. We may refuse entry where a ticket cannot be verified, where capacity or a safety requirement demands it, or where someone's conduct makes it necessary. Programmes, speakers and timings may change.
Photography and filming
Our events are photographed and filmed, and attendees may appear in images we publish on this site and in our communications. Attendees may also contribute their own photographs afterwards. If you appear in a published image and would rather not, email info@artinthegardencity.com and we will remove it. You do not have to give a reason.
Photos and video you send us
If you contribute to an event gallery, you confirm that you took the material or have permission to share it, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. You keep ownership of it, and you give us permission to publish it on this site and to credit you by name.
Everything sent to us is reviewed before it appears, and we may decline or remove anything at our discretion. Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything showing a person who would not want it published.
Content ownership
Text, images, logos and design on this site belong to Art in the Garden City Limited or to the artists and contributors credited, and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. You are welcome to share links to our pages.
Third-party links
Some events are hosted or ticketed by other organisations, and some gallery videos are hosted on Google Drive, YouTube or Vimeo. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of sites we link to.
No warranty
We take care to keep this site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is. We are not liable for loss arising from use of the site, from an event being changed or cancelled, or from information published in good faith that later turns out to be incorrect. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
